Product Information

The Femaru model 29M is a somewhat scarce pistol. They were only in production from 1929 to 1935 with an estimated 50,000 ever made. However, informed authorities who have studied this model have concluded that this figure maybe a lot lower than previously thought. They predict it maybe as low as just 32-35,000 pistols. No pistols have been observed any higher than this serial range. All production went to the military. When WWII first began Hungary sided with the Axis forces taking part in the invasion of Yugoslavia and Russia, but later engaged in armistice negotiations with the US and UK. This betrayal was discovered by the Nazi's and in early 1944 German forces took control and occupied Hungary. The 29M is a beautifully made pistol and was often a favourite sidearm among German forces. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
