Product Information

This is a very rare set indeed, a WW2 Nazi RSHA issued Walther PPK with Holster. The RSHA or Reichssicherheitshauptamt was established by Himmler in 1939 who then took control over all security and police forces in Germany, namely the SS, SD and SiPo - this included the infamous Gestapo (Secret State Police). Members of these groups were often armed with the small and compact Walther PP and PPK pistols. Walthers production and procurement legders have revealed many of the contracted batches of pistols that were supplied to these groups. This PPK is a 4th variant dating to 1940 from the 5th RSHA contract. The serial numbers from this particular contract run from 2793xxK to 2853xxK, this gun being number 281174K. Another distinguishing feature that identifies these RSHA PPK's is the K suffix being stamped at the end of the serial number. The magazine, although not matched is also from a known documented SS PPK. The holster is probably rarer than the pistol and magazine. It is an Akah - Reichsbank model and is one of only two officially authorised and issued RSHA shoulder holsters. It is marked "Stapol. Prag" which signifies that it was issued to a member of the SiPo stationed in the city of Prague during WW2. Of considerable interest the Pistol that the magazine was originally issued to is also known to have been in service in Prague during the war !!!

Accompanying the pistol and holster is a letter of provenance supplied by the last owner who imported this PPK and holster, and who is considered to be of the worlds leading authorities on the subject.
