This is a great condition Cold War Era Russian made SKS semi automatic carbine, dated 1951. The SKS was designed in 1945, and was the forerunner to the legendary Kalashnikov AK47. This example has lovely wood work, deep crisp bluing with an integral folding bayonet. They are still used for ceremonial purposes and continue in service with many countries today. During the Vietnam War, Russia supplied the communist Vietnamese forces with SKS rifles. It comes fitted with a cleaning rod and sling. Deactivated to current specifications.
