Deactivated Old Spec British Self Loading Rifle (SLR) L1A1 with original barrel. Black plastic furniture. A lovely example of the classic self loading rifle, better known as the SLR .The L1A1 was the mainstay of the British army through many post-war conflicts.Proving its worth during the Falklands conflict in 1982 and the troubles in North Ireland. Firing the hard-hitting 7.62 round, this weapon is remembered fondly by squaddies across the world. Many are still in service around the world today, and is still considered by many as one of the best rifles of its type. Deactivated in 1994 to old specification with in tact gas port tube. It can be cocked, fully stripped and dry fired. Comes with correct canvas sling, inert 7.62mm rounds and iron sight cover.
