Deactivated Lee Enfield No4 MK2 .303 rifle with matching wood work to receiver. Manufactured by ROF Fazakerley (F), dated July 1953 (7/53) with British military broad arrow acceptance stamps. This variant of the MK2 was only produced by ROF Fazakerley for a limited period after the second world war using the original MKI receivers and parts, with production finally ending in the 1955. The overall build, quality and finish was to a higher standard which in turn made for a more accurate rifle.  These rifles were used by British forces during Korea, Suez Crisis and Burma to name a few. Small quantities were issued to Admiralty. Comes with an original correct period sling dated 1951 and 1949 knife bayonet. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
