A cracking example of the classic Sterling SMG. The Sterling was first conceived during the latter stages of WWII with some early trials examples being used at Arnhem. After the war the Sterling was officially adopted by the British Army in 1953 and continued in service into the 1990s, seeing action in the Northern Ireland the Falklands war and many other conflicts. The MK4 being the last regular version in service.This particular example was issued to the New Zealand army who are a member of the Common Wealth and received and used the same weapons as British forces. It comes fitted the correct sling and has inert 9mm rounds in the magazine.
