Product Information

First World War German Imperial Army Gewehr 98 rifle, chambered in 7.92mm (8x57). Dated 1917 Manufactured by Mauser with matching numbers to wood work and many other parts. The Gew 98 (as most often referred to) was the standard infantry rifle of the German army throughout WWI, seeing action on all fronts. A very reliable and strong action meant it worked well during the tough and testing conditions in the trenches, they also made excellent sniper rifles. Many saw active service during the Second World War with some being issued to Schutztaffel (SS) and other elite units. It was often a treasured war trophy by allied troops when captured. This iconic rifle can be owned on a section 1 firearms license with the correct variation. Can be deactivated to order with a working action.
