A stunning condition Lee Speed Rifle by BSA with matching bolt, chambered in .303.  It utilises the Long Lee style action and drop down bolt from the cavalry carbine with magazine cut-off plate. This is a beautifully made rifle with hand cut chequering to pistol grip and fore end. The stock is highly figured with a hand engraved butt plate with trapdoor. This engraving is continued on the trigger guard and magazine housing. The short capacity magazine is correct. The pistol grip base is fitted with an ebonite roundal cap and fore grip with a horn capping piece. The barrel has flip-up open sights that are graduated from 200-300 yards with an adjustable front sight. The bore is in very good condition throughout and silky smooth action. The bolt cover is engraved with the retailer " Alex Martin Glasgow & Aberdeen", who would have originally sold this rifle.
