SMLE 2A1 rifle

This is a 1965 dated R.F.I. manufactured SMLE 2A1 rifle, chambered 7.62mm NATO. Using the No1 MKIII rifle platform it was built to chamber the then new 7.62mm cartridge being used in the British SLR. The most obvious visual difference is the square box magazine. This example has a matching numbers 10 round and a rare 20 high capacity magazine. These rifles make great shooters. The bore is in very good condition with strong even rifling throughout.
