This is an original First World War British No7 dial sight as used on 13 and 18 pounder field guns. It could be used for both indirect periscope sighting and for direct line of sight. Just visible is the makers name R&J Beck Ltd and date stamp of 1916. The optics are still ok, if a little cloudy. But more importantly it still has the original finish and rubber eye piece, most are missing this! Incredible the mounting point even has the lock nut and split pin attached!!
