Product Information

This is a very rare early production 13 pound British horse artillery cannon shell. The projectile is marked VSM -Vickers Son & Maxim , and dates to 1905, a year after adoption into service with the British military. The 13 pounder was a British Horse Artillery weapon developed in 1904. It was a light and mobile horse artillery weapon that was intended to be quickly deployed on the battlefield at relatively close range, usually in a cavalry support role. It was used during the early stages of Great War. Still in great condition. It measures 21 inches (around 51.5cm) in height.
