This is an extremely rare inert 1937 dated .50 (12.7 x 120) Vickers heavy machine gun round. This particular example is a .50 HV and was manufactured by Kynoch. The cartridge is much longer than standard and was a high velocity round. The purple tip on the bullet denotes Ball.  A rare find.
