Boer War era Long Lee/Metford Rifle, Pattern 1888 Bayonet & Scabbard. Dated December 1896 (12'96), War Department and broad arrow marked on bayonet & scabbard. Early pattern design with brass riveted handle and hole drilled through above the first brass rivet. Stamped on the pommel with the regiment initials "I. 14?".
