This is a WW2 German Luftwaffe marked and issued 20mm Messerschmitt Bf109 Fighter cannon round. Both projectile and shell are both dated 1943, but more importantly both bear the Luftwaffe Eagle acceptance.  The armour piercing round was made by "asb" = Deutsche Waffen- u. Munitionsfabriken AG, Berlin-Borsigwalde and the cartridge by "wg" = Hasag, Hugo Schneider AG, Altenburg plant. This round comes with a Certificate of Authenticity that was supplied with the round when originally sold.
