An original WWII German M24 Stick Grenade (Potato Masher). Stick grenades were used by German forces during WWI & WWII. Nick named the "Potato Masher" by Allied troops. This example still has the pull cord and porcelain ball intact . Visible Markings on the wooden hand grip base "43 db? last letter possible h or k , makers codes would be either Mannesmann -Roehrenwerke, Duesseldorf plant, Rath or Richard Rinker GmbH, Neubrandenburg in Mecklenburg. And on the explosive head "wc 1944" makers code Hasag, Hugo Schneider AG, Meuselwitz plant, Thuringia.
