Product Information

An original First World War Imperial German Army Artillery Luger leather holster. An early war example with the makers name Lowenstein & Co, Frankfurt Main and date of manufacture 1915 inside. After nearly 100 years it is still in very good original condition with all stitching, straps and flaps in tact. Many were either lost in battle or modified after World War One had ended when the Treaty of Versailles banned Germany from having pistols no longer than 100mm in length, making the Artillery holsters obsolete. Many were then shortened to fit a standard Lugers or simply destroyed.
