A Model 1866 Chassepot rifle sword bayonet & scabbard. There are no obvious makers marks or codes which would indicate that is was most likely of British manufacture. The pommel is stamped with the initials I.Y , this would most likely be an abbreviation or the Irish Yeomanry. Completely original it has not been over polished or cleaned.
