An original Model Gun Company (MGC) Luger Snail Drum or Trommel Magazine. Very rarely seen as production numbers were limited. The originals were fitted to Artillery Luger's and Bergmann'S MP18 during WWI. Would look great displayed with either and is considerable less expensive. The main magazine stem can be loaded with working internals, It can be taken apart and the ratchet arm moves freely and articulates.
