RARE Wilkinson Pallmall 1907 Pattern SMLE Bayonet & Scabbard

This would appear to be a very unusual Wilkinson, Pall Mall manufactured 1907 Pattern SMLE bayonet with scabbard. The blade bears no date stamps or the royal cypher. After some further research this bayonet was made post May 1916 but failed second inspection and therefore not issued into British military service. Note the letter I is missing from the Wilkinson name. This may explain its rejection, or it may have had a manufacturing flaw in the metal. The unusual serial number on the pommel would indicate that it was sold to an overseas contract. We beleive that this bayonet was part of a small batch sold to the Saudi government. Only one other exmple has been reported.
