Product Information

This is an original Second World War, German K98 leather sling. The buckle is marked D&C = Dransfeld & Co, Menden/Sauerland. The leather stopper is a very rare late war coded example and is marked with the "Reichsbetriebsnummer" (RBNr). This coding system was introduced late in 1943 to replace the standard three letter code, but was never fully implemented. The theory behind this coding system was to register and record the factory information within the Nazi regime, and would also maintain security and identifications of manufacturing locations. Only a handful of these stoppers have ever been seen as so few were made. Comes complete with buckle, stopper and leather adjuster hoop.

They were also used on a variety other German weapons during WWII, such as the MP44 & G43 rifles.
