This is a very RARE WWII German J-Feder 504 Timing Delay Fuse that was discovered and made safe by the Royal Engineers after the war. The label reads "Explosive timing devises found while mine clearing 1947 Sennelager Germany by Royal Engineers". The J-Feder was a powered 21 day clockwork mechanical delay fuse. It has an aluminum case containing a spring-loaded striker actuated by a clockwork mechanism through a trip delay. The two dials are for setting the time period for detonation. Part of the base has been cut off, this was done by the RE when making it safe. Visible on the casing is the Nazi Waffen acceptance stamp. A rare find and a great piece of history.
