This is a very rare inert WWII British No75 MKIII anti tank mine. Its often referred to as the Hawkins mine and was used to disable tanks and other vehicles. During the D-Day invasions of Normandy they were issued to US forces. The initials ATK on this one refer to Anti Tank, designed specifically to blow the tracks of German tanks and Half-Tracks. The MKIII was only produced late on in the war and this example is dated 44 - 1944. Although primarily an anti tank weapon they were used to great affect in a variety of other rolls, including demolition of buildings, destroying german bunks or gun emplacements.
