WW2 German Luftwaffe Boot Knife

This is a WWII German Luftwaffe issued boot knife with scabbard. Knifes that were issued to the German Air Forces were coded with a 5 or 6 within a dropped winged acceptance stamp. Designed to clip over the edge of a boot top or belt it could also be clip onto any part of the uniform and was easy to conceal. They were used throughout the war and this particular style being used extensively by the Fallschirmjager (paratrooper), Waffen SS and Luftwaffe pilots.
