This is a pair WWII era Browning High Power wooden grips. The red paint was applied to prevent the wood from absorbing moisture and rusting the frame. This practice was phased out during WWII but started again for a short period in the late 1940s. Both grips are number stamped 2 and have been hand matched with the numbers 118? . They should fit pre war, wartime and post models of FN HP pistols.
