A WWII Scout Regiments MK2 snipers spotting telescope. Manufactured by H.C.R. & Sons Ltd with military Broad arrow acceptance stamp. The serial number dates to wartime production. These spotting telescopes were issued to British snipers along with there No4T rifle. The sniper was one of the most important and hard working members of a regiment or unit. Often deployed ahead of the troop they could report back on enemy movements and could cause havoc sniping from hidden positions. Post WWII they issued again with the L42A1 sniper rifles. A rare item to find in such good condition. Comes with leather case and carry strap. This example is three draw with anti glare sliding eyepiece shield. The optics are in good clear condition.
