Product Information

RARE Francotte Martini Cadet under lever action rifle, Chambered in 297/230. Thiis was one of several variants of cadet martini rifles that were used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for cadet training. The Victorian Government purchased the first 500 Francottes in 1887. This example is number 1159 and dates to the late 1880s early 1890s. The principal characteristic of the Francotte Patent Martini action is the removal of the action in one complete section, after the removal of split pin.

The bore is in very good condition throughout and action is tight and crisp. Chambered in an obsolete calibre this rifle can be owned live without any form of license. It has a working action and is not deactivated in any way. It can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.

This rifle is being sold as antique collectors item only.
