Product Information

This is believed to be an Afghan percussion musket, circa 1900s. These types of muskets are sometimes referred to as "Khyber Pass" guns. The Khyber Pass is a 33 mile route through the Hindu Kush mountain range that connects the northern frontier of Pakistan with Afghanistan. In this region there has been a teeming arms industry with the local craftsmen/gunsmiths making all types of hand made guns, often making fairly rudimentary but fully functional firearms, many of which have been captured by US & British forces from terrorist groups such as the Taliban. The woodwork has several old repairs and is still structurally sound.

Chambered in an obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.

It is being sold as a collectors piece only.
