A superb Martini Henry rifle, chambered in .450/577 obsolete calibre. This example has been "Arabicized" and is a likely Afghan bring-back. These unique embellishments would have been added by its owner with this one having some fine hand crafted silver work that stands out nicely against the woodwork. The receiver has ornate hand engravings on either side. Note the hand wound silver wire at the muzzle end and round the stock. The leather sling is another unique feature and is original to the gun. It to has been made specifically to fit and shows great age. Having no visible markings it is hard to give an accurate date, however its looks to be a fairly early Martini with short lever and large cocking indicator, unusually only found on MK1 & MKIIs.

Chambered in its original .450/577 calibre this unique rifle can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action this it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired
