Product Information

This is a rare Nepoleonic era Tower Flintlock Pistol that has definitely seen active service, circa 1800. The lock is maker marked Tower of London Armoury and has the British broad arrow acceptance and the Royal Cypher of GR = King George III who reigned from 1760-1820. The barrel bears the correct period proof stamps. On the left side of the pistol is the unique feature of a steel hoop for attaching a lanyard cord. This may indicate it was used by a cavalryman? Forward of the hoop stamped into the wood is the number 20. The stock has several very old battle scares but, regardless of these has remained intact, which is truly incredible when you consider that its age of around 220 years old!
