A First World War French Modele 1892 revolver. Manufacture d'armes de St Etienne (MAS). These very robust and reliable revolvers were used by the French during WWI, many saw action in WWII as well. It was the first  European revolver to incorporate a swing-out cylinder that assisted rapid reloading. The modele 1892 is often incorrectly referred to as a "Lebel" revolver.  Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired.
