An all matching numbers WWII Lee Enfield No5 MKI Jungle Carbine dated 4/45 (April 1945), manufactured by Royal Ordnance Factory, Fazakerley (ROF) (F) chambered in .303. First produced in early 1944, the No5 saw service during WWII, rumor has it that it was designed primarily for airborne use, rather than the Asian jungles for which it is most commonly associated with. The No5 did see extensive use in Holland during the Battle of Arnhem being issued to British paratrooper units, as well as on the Pacific islands. It also saw service during the  “Malayan Emergency” of 1948-1960. This example has its original wood work is broad arrow stamped and is fitted with a genuine WWII dated canvas sling, stripper clip containing 5 WWII dated .303 rounds. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
