Product Information

A beautiful condition WWII Lanchester Submachine gun, MK1*, chambered in 9mm . Dated 1942 with broad arrow and military acceptance stamps, it has its correct 50 round capacity stick magazine and canvas sling. These weapons were more or less a direct copy of the German Bergmann MP28 submachine gun and were very well made. They were issued predominately to the British Navy with small quantities also used by the RAF for guarding aerodromes. They were only produced during WWII with relatively small amounts produced. The markings M/94 on the magazine housing denote that this one was manufactured by Greener who only produced around 17,000 Lanchesters. This one has beautiful wood work and is one of the best we have seen. Deactivated in 1994 to old specification it has full working action can be stripped, cocked and dry fired.
