A rare Chinese Hanyang Mauser Bolt Action Rifle or type 88. They were manufactured by the Hanyang Arsenal from around 1895 until just after the Second World War. The Chinese National Revolutionary Army used them whilst fitting in the Second Sino-Japanese war.  US troops are known to have encountered them during the Korean War. The design is based on the German Gew88 and utilizes a Mannlicher style magazine firing the same 7.92mm cartridge. A rifle that is rarely seen outside of the far east. It was deactivated in 1992 to old specifications with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
