This is rare WWII era BSA manufactured SMLE that is marked to the "Southern Rhodesian Government"-SRG. During WWII the British Government supplied small quantities of rifles and revolvers to British colonial forces to defend its territories. These ownership marked weapons are very rare and seldom seen as most saw extensive use in the hot and humid condition of Africa, and those that did survive remained there. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked , stripped and dry fired.
