WWII era United States Navy, R.F. Sedgley Inc. 37mm flare pistol. These pistols are rare and to find one in the UK is even rarer. This example is a seldom seen variant with a 4 1/2” (11.6cm) long barrel and steel trigger guard, with matching numbers to barrel and receiver. They were used by the US armed forces during WWII and are most commonly associated with and used by the US Navy. A real collectors piece. Deactivated with a working action it can be stripped and dry fired.
