Rarely seen in the UK, an early production pre Russian revolution Mosin Nagant M91 (Model of 1891) rifle. This example is dated 1900 with similarly dated wood work. Incredible the floor plate is numbered to the receiver. It was manufactured at the Tula arsenal who started production of this model in 1891 until 1926. The rifle still has the correct magazine housing, rear sight, barrel bands, sling hoops, cleaning rod and is fitted with an early and correct bolt assembly with matching numbers. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
