A great condition WWII Colt Police Positive .38 Revolver. A very nice example with its original blued finish and solid wood Colt grips. The serial number 392867 dates this revolver to 1940 production. These tough and durable revolvers were purchased by the British Government, and were issued to British personnel during WWII. This particular revolver is marked on the base on the pistol grip with the initials E.P. (Egyptian Police) and has the Egyptian Wording on the left side of the frame. British forces were based in Egypt during WWII. Deactivated sympathetically with a clear barrel, it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
