A great condition WWII Lee Enfield No4 MKI* .303 rifle. This example was manufactured by US firm Savage during the war under the Lend Lease agreement between the UK and US Governments. Weapons that were produced under the Lend Lease program were marked "US Property". This example saw service and has a lovely armorers repair to the stock. It was also factory reworked in 1953 by ROF Fazakerley and upgraded to a MKI/3. Just visible is the original date stamp of 1944. The last digit is partially covered the inspectors mark. Post WWII many No4s saw service again in various conflicts around the world. Deactivated with moving parts it comes with an EU/UK certificate of deactivation.
