Product Information

Rare Deactivated Old specification First World War Vickers Machine Gun MKI . Marked V.S.M. (Vickers. Son & Maxim). This weapon had a reputation for great solidity and reliability during WW1. Often referred to as "The Grand old Lady of No Mans Land". Production first started in 1916, they have a distinctive "fluted" barrel jacket. The serial number has the prefix "A", this denotes early production. This one has had an armorers repair from a possible bullet strike or shrapnel fragment. It would have also been issued during WWII. Would make a superb centre piece to any collection. Covered in a plethora of broad arrow stamps.  Deactivated in 1995 to old specifications with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. Comes with inert .303 rounds, original wartime dated 250 round canvas belt, rubber hose and wooden transit chest. This is one of the best example we have seen.
