Deactivated Walther Model 8 Pistol. This is the second variant produced from 1927 to 1933/34, with only an estimated 24,000 ever made. Serial numbers started at 700,000, which means this one is pistol number 6804th. As with all Walther pistols the it is superb build quality. During WWII the Model 8 was often carried by staff officers and as a backup gun by aviators, tank crewmen, and the SS, many of whom required weapons that could be used in confined spaces or easily to conceal. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped an dry fired.
