Deactivated WWII German K98. 1944 dated. Manufactured by Waffen Werke Brunn A.G. Bystrica (dou) with correct Waffen code WaA80. A very good example of a late wartime production carbine, with the emphasis on numbers rather than perfectly finished weapons. Note the the magazine floor plate and wood work nose cap are simplified. This example has not fallen into Russian hands and has not been refinished. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
