Deactivated WWII Mauser HSc Pistol. HSc meaning Hahn Selbstspanner Pistole (Self-Cocking Hammer or Double-Action Pistol) version “c”. Although not military or police marked this pistols was produced during WWII and was instead diverted to commercial sales, meaning German officials and officers could privately purchase as there own personal sidearms. The serial number 808173 dates to 1942 and is one of only 17,700 produced that year. Often overlooked during WWII, pistol manufactures were still run as a business and this made good business sense. It also gave individuals the choice of preferred weapon over standard military issue pistols. Still in great original condition with original wooden grips and finish. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
