Product Information

A superb condition Second World War Nazi MG42. It was manufactured by Gustloff Werke under secret code "dfb" in 1944 (MU). The serial number 4007f falls well within the known blocks allocated to Gustloff that year. They managed to produce around 65,000 MG42 in 1944. Their MG42 production was also fairly short lived only making them from 1943 to 1945. This example is covered in a plethora of Nazi Waffen stamps and unlike so many it is fitted with and original wartime barrel. The receiver is correctly stamped with Eagle over WaA4 and the subcontracted parts marked "cof" and WaA519. The bipod is dated 1944 with makers code "kur" Waffenamt WaA815. It also has a matching Nazi bolt and anti aircraft sight. An excellent, heavily Nazi WaA stamped example of the feared MG42. It had a fantastic rate of fire at 1200 rounds a minute. Known by US troops as Hitler's buzz saw. They are still in use in modified form today. A real German WWII classic. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
