Deactivated Sterling MK5 L34A1 silenced submachine gun with original black "crackle" finish. Fitted with correct sling and 34 round curved magazine. A really superb condition example. The Sterling was adopted by the British Army in 1953 and continued to be in service until very recently. The MK5's silenced were issued to specialist and covert units. Deactivated with a moving cocking handle it still partially strippable. This is a truly superb and museum worthy example.
