A genuine and early production Second World War, German K98 sling. The buckle has a leather protector, this was fitted to prevent damage being caused to woodwork of the rifle . Just visible on the leather stopper is the makers mark and date of 1939. Comes complete with buckle, stopper and leather adjuster hoop.

They were also used on a variety other German weapons during WWII, such as the MP44 & G43 rifles.
