An Original WWI British cavalry horse shoe pouch. Manufactured by Whitehouse & Hartley , Walsall in 1917. They were issued to various cavalry and mounted infantry units during the Great War. Horses were seen as a vital part of the British war machine and maintaining them was essential. The pouch could hold several shoes. Still in super original condition and a rarely seen piece of First World War curio.*
