A Battle of Britain era WWII British Brodie helmet complete with liner and chin strap. The makers initials are JSS = Joseph Sankey & Sons Ltd Bilston, and it is dated 1940. This example fitted with camouflage netting and hessian. Soldiers would often attach branches and leaves in the netting.
