This is British Pattern Socket Bayonet for 1842 Musket & 1851 Pattern Minie rifle. It has the Lovell catch and sight notch and New Land Pattern shoulders. The blade is maker marked and has been sold of of service (two broad arrows facing each other) stamped over the offical British acceptance marks.
