This is a rare early First World War issued Enfield manufactured 1907 Pattern Bayonet & Scabbard. The bayonet is dated "7'15" July 1915 with EFD - Enfield initails below. An unusual feature not often encountered on these early bayonets is the lack of a clearance hole in the pommel. Many without this clearance hole were returned and altered however, this is one of the very few that was not modified adding to its authenticity and originality.
