This is a WW1 & WW2 Japanese Navy 47mm Hotchkiss Round. The brass case is maker marked with the Japanese Navy anchor acceptance symbol. The projectile is armour piercing with brass driving bands. The Hotchkiss gun was used widely throughout the Japanese navy being mounted to warships and smaller vessels as a deck gun.
